Echo Alpha joins Cybercampus Sweden to advance security for autonomous systems

Swedish cybersecurity company Echo Alpha becomes a member of Cybercampus Sweden and joins its Startup Program, strengthening its engagement in Sweden’s national cybersecurity and cyber-defence ecosystem. 

Echo Alpha, a Swedish cybersecurity company developing security and counter-autonomy technology for autonomous AI, has joined Cybercampus Sweden as a member and has been selected for the Cybercampus Startup Program. 

Cybercampus Sweden is a national initiative bringing together government, industry and academia to strengthen Sweden’s capabilities in cybersecurity and cyber defence. Echo Alpha’s membership comes as increasingly autonomous AI systems create a new security challenge: organisations must be able both to protect the autonomous systems they rely on and to detect, constrain and counter systems operating against them. 

Echo Alpha develops technology for assessing, securing and controlling trusted autonomous AI systems, as well as strategic counter-autonomy capabilities for identifying, disrupting and neutralising hostile autonomous systems. This is an emerging field of strategic importance for both civilian resilience and defence.

Autonomy changes the security landscape in both directions. We need to be able to trust and protect the autonomous systems operating on our behalf, but we also need credible ways to deal with systems that are adversarial or deployed against us.

The announcement comes approximately one year after Echo Alpha was founded. Participation in the Cybercampus Startup Program complements the broader membership by connecting the company with expertise and organisations across Sweden’s cybersecurity and cyber-defence ecosystem.
